Chelsea transfer news round-up as Eden Hazard lined up for return and Christian Pulisic to stay

Chelsea are enjoying a stellar season under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

There's a Champions League final on the horizon and a battle to remain in the top four of the Premier League.

Liverpool have closed the gap on fourth-place Chelsea to just four points after the Blues lost 1-0 to Arsenal on Wednesday.

To help improve their league position next season and continue their success in other competitions, Tuchel will be given some financial backing in the summer transfer window.

Mirror Football has rounded up the latest Chelsea transfer news and taken a look at who is on the club's radar.

Christian Pulisic to stay

Christian Pulisic has refuted claims he is leaving Chelsea in the transfer window to join Liverpool.

The midfielder joined the Blues in 2019 on a five-year deal and has scored 13 league goals in 50 appearances.

He told ESPN : "Yeah, I'm obviously happy here. It has been an incredible two years.

"People have always doubted and said: 'Oh, he's not playing, does he want to go here, does he want to go there?' I'm always up for a challenge, I love competing, I love the position I'm in and I'm enjoying my time here."

Southampton interested in Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Southampton have raised interest in Loftus-Cheek, which could see him leave Chelsea this season, according to the Express.

The star has been on loan to Fulham for the 2020/21 campaign but had a disappointing spell at the club, only scoring once in 29 games.

The Saints are looking to sign him on a season-long deal with the option to make it permanent if his form improves.

Eden Hazard's return

Chelsea legend Eden Hazard could return to the club this summer if the sale of the player is allowed by Real Madrid's Zinedine Zidane, according to HLN.

The publication has reported Hazard still sees Stamford Bridge as his home and that was on show in Real's Champions League semi-final against the Blues.

He ruffled feathers in Spain after he was filmed joking with former Chelsea teammates after the Blues knocked Real out of the Champions League earlier this month.
