Chelsea transfer news: PSV talks begin for Noni Madueke as Blues handed Leandro Trossard boost

Your Chelsea transfer round-up on Saturday, January 14.

Chelsea open talks with PSV for Noni Madueke £40m transfer

Chelsea are now in talks with PSV Eindhoven over a deal to sign winger Noni Madueke this month, football.london understands. As reported earlier this week, the Blues are interested in signing the 20-year-old as Graham Potter looks to bolster his attacking options for the remainder of the season.

Madueke, who left Tottenham in 2018 to sign for PSV, has impressed ever since making the brave switch to the Netherlands and despite an injury-ridden campaign, his stock around Europe continues to rise. football.london has been told that Christopher Vivell is the driving factor behind the Blues' move for the PSV star who could cost a fee in the region of £40million.

Chelsea alerted to Leandro Trossard availability

Chelsea have been alerted to Leandro Trossard's availability in the January transfer window following a statement his agent has released. Trossard has been dropped from the Brighton team to face Liverpool as the forward enters a key stage of his current contract with the Seagulls.

The Belgian forward developed into a brilliant player under Graham Potter, but his relationship with new manager Roberto De Zerbi has become fractured in recent weeks. Trossard has 18 months left on his current deal at the American Express Community Stadium but could leave the club sooner given De Zerbi's decision to exile the 28-year-old from first team training.

Following De Zerbi's recent comments and decision to make Trossard train alone, the Belgian's agent, Josy Comhair, has released a statement highlighting how his client has been 'humiliated'. The statement read: "Before Leandro [Trossard] left for Qatar, Brighton's intention was to have Leandro sign on [a new deal].

"This did not happen, as the parties did not come to an agreement. Leandro has also indicated that he is ready for his next step [in his career]."

Chelsea recall talented youngster early

Harvey Vale has returned to Chelsea with his loan at Hull City set to end prematurely. The Blues youngster joined the Tigers in the summer on a year-long loan but has struggled for minutes during his time on Humberside.

football.london understands that Vale has made his return to west London despite featuring in Hull's FA Cup match against Fulham at the weekend. The 19-year-old becomes the club's second player to return to Cobham this month, following Jayden Wareham's spell with Leyton Orient also coming to an end.
