Chelsea are still yet to make their first signing of the summer transfer window - but are not far off.

Cristiano Ronaldo remains a big talking point in the gossip columns along with Raphinha, who continues to be central to a tug-of-war with Barcelona.

Todd Boehly flew out to the Spanish city for talks with the Blaugrana on Thursday amid reports of the Blues’ interest in Frenkie de Jong.

Here, we deliver the latest update of Chelsea transfer news and rumours...

Manchester United have been attempting to sign the Dutchman for some time, amid a reported dispute with the Camp Nou club over wages De Jong delayed the payment of to help with their financial struggles.

Co-owner Boehly held talks with Barcelona president Joan Laporta on Thursday night and declared that an agreement had been reached, although over what remains to be seen...

Chelsea will bid £14m for Ronaldo, according to Football Insider.

The Portuguese star has not shown up for United pre-season training due to a family issue that is reportedly unrelated to his transfer future, and will not fly out on tour with the squad on Friday.

Goal report that Ronaldo has grown increasingly frustrated with the Red Devils’ lack of movement in the transfer market while rivals snap up new strikers left, right and centre.

Nathan Ake

A £45m deal for former defender Ake is close to being completed.

The Times report on Chelsea following up the imminent deal for Raheem Sterling with a bid to land Manchester City teammate Ake.

Talks are said to have accelerated in recent days with Ake keen on returning to Stamford Bridge and taking up the left-sided central defender spot in Thomas Tuchel’s 3-4-3 system.

Chelsea remain favourites to sign Raphinha with Leeds still waiting on an offer from Barcelona, according to Standard Sport’s Nizaar Kinsella.

The Blues have seen a £55million bid accepted for the 25-year-old, but the player prefers a move to Barcelona and has told the Spanish giants he will wait for a move there, having already snubbed Arsenal and Tottenham.

However, with a suitable offer yet to materialise from Barcelona, Standard Sport understands a decision on Raphinha's future is expected within 24 hours.
