Chelsea have come out on top of the world's clubs for net money gained on transfers during the last two transfer windows.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, the Blues have recouped €250 million (£212 million) by transferring 16 players out over both the summer and the January window.
The most high profiles of these sales was Eden Hazard's summer move to Real Madrid before the start of the season, a transfer which was said to have earned Chelsea around £84.6 million.
David Luiz was also another high-profile departure when he left for Arsenal in the summer window deadline day for a fee of £8 million.
A transfer ban in place during the summer window meant that Frank Lampard was unable to add any new players to his squad ahead of the 2019/20 season, but Chelsea were however able to make Mateo Kovacic's loan move from Real Madrid permanent for a fee of around £38million.
Despite the transfer ban being lifted a transfer window earlier than expected, Chelsea didn't take the chance to make new signings during the January transfer window. Although Lampard was keen to add striking options to his squad to take the burden off top scorer Tammy Abraham.
No new signings mean that Chelsea have come out of the last two transfer window with a net profit of £173.4 million, putting them at the top of the table, ahead of Benfica and Ajax.
Fans have taken to social media to react to the news.
The lack of new faces has though ensured that more young players such as Abraham, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have been given a more prominent role in the first team setup.
It is likely that the Blues will be looking to sign their first new first team player in a year when the summer transfer window re-opens ahead of the 2020/21 season.
Names such as Jadon Sancho and Ben Chilwell have already been linked with summer moves to Stamford Bridge.
