Eden Hazard delighted the Chelsea supporters and angered the Real Madrid fans on Wednesday night.
The Blues knocked Los Blancos out of the Champions League at the semi-final stage, with hazard, a former Chelsea player, seen laughing and joking with his former team-mates after the full-time whistle.
It was enough to send one Spanish journalist into a frenzy, with his furious rant going viral.
And Real Madrid are reportedly tired of the frontman, with suggestions that they will let him leave this summer if the right offer comes in.
Many Chelsea fans will be excited by the prospect of a returning Eden Hazard, some may even be desperate for that to happen. After all, the beloved star did win six major honours during his seven years at the club, including two Premier League titles.
However, his success out in Spain hasn’t come close to that in England, as he has struggled to get on the pitch due to significant injury problems, emphasised by the fact he has featured just 18 times in all competitions for Madrid this season.
Now it seems the La Liga giants are willing to cash in on him, as they are ‘fed up’ with the lack of professionalism he has shown in the two summers since he arrived in Madrid.
That is according to Spanish outlet ABC, who also report that Hazard’s laughter at Stamford Bridge after defeat in the semi-final of the Champions League on Wednesday night confirmed that they would be willing to put him on the market, and would accept an offer around €50million (£43.4million).
The crisis will be addressed in the summer, but ABC do admit that it is too early to assume what is going to happen, especially if Hazard refuses to leave the club. That of course is well in his right after he signed a contract that runs until 2024, a contract that is costing Madrid €26million annually .
If that does happen, Madrid will give him a third season, particularly because Zidane backs Hazard to show his quality in Spain.
