Chelsea to finish above Liverpool, Timo Werner to star - Blues fans pre-season survey

It has been a big summer so far for Chelsea and Frank Lampard.

After the club's transfer ban prevented Lampard from signing any new players last summer after taking the job, the Blues have spent big to sign the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Ben Chilwell, with a deal to sign Kai Havertz also close to completion.

In addition, experienced defender Thiago Silva has joined from Paris Saint-Germain, while Chelsea have also signed Malang Sarr on a free transfer from OGC Nice.

But the spending spree has increased expectations at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season, with the Blues set to compete again in the Champions League after finishing fourth in the Premier League.

Chelsea: 2020/21 season in preview

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will be craving success again though, after seeing the Blues lose out in the FA Cup final against Arsenal at Wembley in August.

Another top four finish - and potentially cup success - may be seen as a minimum requirement for the season ahead, with Lampard set to face more scrutiny in the upcoming campaign after a big summer in the transfer market.

But what do you think is realistic for Chelsea this season?

Does Lampard need to win a trophy in 2020/21? Can Chelsea finish above Manchester City or Liverpool and challenge for the title?

And who will be the club's surprise package this season, with big name signings coming in to add experience and quality to a talented group of younger players who shone last season?

Let us know what your expectations are for the Blues this season by filling out our pre-season survey, above.
