Chelsea have received a huge Kai Havertz boost.
The Blues are said to be closing in on an £89.5m deal for the Germany international, and it seems a deal is indeed close.
That's because Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz has revealed Havertz will no longer train with the club ahead of a likely move.
"Unfortunately, our squad has not yet been determined: " he said in a press conference. "I no longer expect that Kevin Volland and Kai Havertz will train with us again.
"It is possible that other players will also switch. We definitely have to bring players in too."
Havertz has been targetted by Chelsea throughout the summer, Frank Lampard and his recruitment staff keen to add to the signings of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and others.
The move would take Chelsea's spending tally to more than £200m, and it would be a club-record for the Blues.
Kepa Arrizabalaga currently holds the record, joining for around £72m from Athletic Club.
Havertz has been with Leverkusen since 2016, netting 36 goals from 118 league appearances from midfield.
