Chelsea team confirmed vs Valencia: Fikayo Tomori starts in back three for Blues

Chelsea make their long-awaited return to the Champions League tonight as they face Valencia at Stamford Bridge.

After a year in the Europa League, winning the competition and finishing third in the Premier League, the Blues are back with Europe's elite.

It's a big night for many of the players involved, who will be making their Champions League debuts, while Frank Lampard is also taking his first step into the competition as a head coach.

The Blues are having to do without N'Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger, who are both still out injured, while Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James and Emerson Palmieri are also not ready to return.

It means that Marcos Alonso gets another start as Lampard tries to get his first clean sheet of the campaign.

Check out the full Chelsea team below.

Chelsea: Kepa, Zouma, Christensen, Tomori; Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso; Mount, Abraham, Willian.

Subs: Caballero, Guehi, Barkley, Pulisic, Pedro, Giroud, Batshuayi.
