Chelsea target Kai Havertz 'dreaming of Premier League move', reveals Bayer Leverkusen team-mate

Chelsea target Kai Havertz "dreams" of playing in the Premier League, according to Bayer Leverkusen team-mate Wendell.

Despite football finances being severely hit during the coronavirus pandemic, Chelsea are embarking on a spending spree to mount a title challenge.

Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig have already been wrapped up, and Frank Lampard now has his sights set on Havertz – along with Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.

Havertz, who predemoninently plays as an attacking midfielder, scored 16 goals and added eight assists during the now finished Bundesliga season.

Wendell feels Havertz has a strong desire to move to England will has all the tools required to be a success.

"He's a complete player," Wendell told Yellow and Green Football. "If you play him as a No.9 or as a No.10 a little bit behind, or if you put him out wide, he’ll know what to do.

"He has a facility to understand what the manager wants. He finishes well with both feet. He’s strong with his head, he has good technique.

"Psychologically, the Germans are very focused people, too. They are very concentrated on what they want.

"If he goes to the Premier League, he will learn a lot. I think Kai dreams of playing there. He has that desire. If he decides to play in England, he will be a success."
