Erling Braut Haaland is a man in demand and one of the clubs most keen to sign him is Frank Lampard's Chelsea.
The Athletic reported on Wednesday that Chelsea are ready to break their own transfer-record in an attempt to sign the striker from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Haaland has a release clause in his contract of around £70million, but that will not become active until the summer of 2022, meaning Chelsea will have to way above that if they are to strike a deal this year.
But with the striker considered as one of the very hottest talents in the world, Chelsea may be prepared to make their move.
The Manchester Evening News are reporting that Haaland's value has 'shifted dramatically' amid the transfer interest, with Dortmund looking for a huge profit on the reported €20 million (£18m) they paid for his services 12-months-ago.
Dortmund would be looking for a whopping €100million (£88.5m) to let the youngster leave, £16m more than Chelsea have ever paid before.
The Norweigan has emerged as a main target for Chelsea this month, with Lampard keen to bolster his forward line.
However, Former Norway international and now ESPN pundit Jan Aage Fjortoft has told Chelsea to forget about their chances of signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.
Fjortoft said: "I understand there is no chance he will leave Dortmund this summer. He has been at the club only one year.
"Throughout his career, it has been all about development. He is 20 and at a good place right now."
