Chelsea talks with Anel Ahmedhodzic confirmed but agent ‘blocks transfer’

Chelsea's move for Anel Ahmedhodzic has been blocked by the Malmo player's agent, according to the defender's father.

The Blues have been linked in local media with a cut-price move for Ahmedhodzic, with the 21-year-old expected to leave his current club in the near future.

Ahmedhodzic's father, Mirsad, has claimed talks with Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia have taken place, but his son's representive Markus Rosenberg is hampering a transfer.

Defender Ahmedhodzic remains likely to leave Malmo in the summer, if not before.

"He’s [Rosenberg] not doing his job. He has told Marina at Chelsea that Anel is not going there,” Mirsad Ahmedhodzic told Sportbladet.

"[Anel] wants to go abroad after the season finishes."

Chelsea were busy in the transfer market over the summer, spending in excess on £220million across their squad.

Lampard brought in left-back Ben Chilwell for around £47m, while centre-backs Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr arrives on free transfers.
