Chelsea Supporters' Trust have issued a statement following the news that the club are preparing to announce their official withdrawal from the European Super League.
Hundreds of Blues supporters protested outside of Stamford Bridge ahead of this evening's Premier League match with Brighton and football.london understands that the club want out of the controversial plans.
Chelsea were one of the 12 'Founding Clubs' to confirm their desire of playing in the breakaway league.
The Blues, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan were named as the teams wishing to take part.
However, Man City have since dropped out - with the Premier League leaders confirming the news on their official website earlier this evening (Tuesday).
It also looks as if Chelsea may have performed a u-turn with supporters up and down the country furious with the initial proposals.
Chelsea Supporters' Trust have now issued a statement following the latest news.
It reads: "Enough is enough. Tonight, the fans said NO.
"We demanded that we were listened to, we demanded that we were heard, and we demanded that the club that we all love was not sold for greed and self-interest.
"Whilst we await official confirmation, it is likely that CFC will withdraw from the 'Super League'.
"This is a victory for the supporters. We did this together. The Chelsea Supporters' Trust (CST) is unashamedly proud of its members across the globe.
"We shouted and they had to listen. The position of a number of the CFC board is now untenable and the CST will continue to push for what is right.
"The CST board is proud of our members and supporters. Together we are stronger.
"This is our club and that will never change."
