Chelsea suffer N'Golo Kante injury blow after midfielder lasts eight minutes of Watford game

Chelsea have suffered a massive blow to their end of season hopes after N'Golo Kante was forced off just eight minutes into their game with Watford.

The Blues are chasing a top four finish in the Premier League which will secure them a Champions League spot next season but could well be forced to end the season with their industrious midfielder after he was taken off with an injury less than ten minutes into the game at Stamford Bridge.

It came moments after Kepa Arrizabalaga made what could be the save of the season when he palmed away a Troy Deeney header that looked destined for the top corner, but joy turned to disappointment just moments later as Kante went down on the edge of the box.

It looked to be a calf injury and Kante went straight down the tunnel and into the dressing room for an assessment on the injury, being replaced by Ruben Loftus-Cheek who had been dropped by Maurizio Sarri with one eye on the Europa League semi final second leg on Thursday.
