Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has been warned once again that it will be difficult for him to play for France in the European Championships this summer, if he doesn't get game time with the Blues.
The Frenchman has been Didier Deschamps' preferred option up front for Les Bleus, despite finding his opportunities limited with the Blues.
Giroud has only played seven times for the Blues this season, with his last appearance for Frank Lampard's side coming back in November in a 1-0 defeat at home against West Ham.
He was strongly linked with a January transfer, with Tottenham, Newcastle and Inter Milan all understood to have been interested in signing him, but a move failed to materialise, with Chelsea unable to sign a replacement.
As such, he has stayed put in west London, but is yet to feature for Lampard's side since the window closed.
And Giroud has now again been warned about his future in the French side, having previously been sent a message by Deschamps over his lack of playing time.
The president of the FFF, Noël Le Graët, has been asked by L’Equipe if he’s worried about certain players lacking minutes, with Giroud the only one named.
In response, he said: "Yes. Among them, there are real incumbents. [Olivier] Giroud stayed in his club (Chelsea). I hope he’ll play a few matches.
"Otherwise, physically, it will be difficult. The others are still recovering, apart from Dembélé. But many countries also have injuries. There are far too many matches.”
