Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi drops huge social media hint about Crystal Palace transfer

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has given a huge hint that he will be joining Crystal Palace on a season-long loan this summer.

The 26-year-old was on international duty with Belgium this week, but is expected to tie up a move to Selhurst Park as well as extending his current Chelsea contract by 12 months.

And the striker has given the clearest indication yet that he will be making the switch to South London.

Batshuayi took to Twitter, liking a message from a Belgian journalist stating that a medical had been completed and a deal will be completed on Thursday.

As well as that, he hit the like button on around a dozen messages from Palace supporters welcoming him back to Selhurst Park.

It will be the second loan stint the striker has secured with Palace since agreeing a move to Chelsea in 2016.

Batshuayi enjoyed a good relationship with Palace fans during his time on loan in the second half of the 2018/19 season, as he averaged a goal every 151 minutes in the Premier League.

The striker has fallen behind Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since Frank Lampard's arrival as manager, and with Timo Werner also arriving this summer, the Belgian's options look slim in West London.

Palace are expected to be paying a portion of Batshuayi's wages, which top £100,000 per week, but not all of the pay-packet.
