Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi delivers hilarious response to Anderlecht transfer talk

Michy Batshuayi has not exactly enjoyed the Chelsea career that he would have hoped for when he joined the club in 2016.

The 25-year-old has only started four Premier League games in that time - one more than the number of loan clubs he has had.

The Belgian striker has had loan spells with Borussia Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace in the last two seasons, but with Alvaro Morata leaving and the Blues not able to sign anyone, Bathsuayi has returned to Stamford Bridge this this campaign.

He has, however, slipped behind Tammy Abraham in the pecking order to be the main striker for the Blues, battling it out with Olivier Giroud to be the main back-up.

Having scored a brace for the U23s, Batshuayi was an unused substitute against Norwich City, before coming on late in the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.

With a busy schedule coming up after the international break, there could be more chances for Batshuayi to impress Frank Lampard over the course of the season.

But there has been talk that he could leave, with Anderlecht linked with a move for him on transfer deadline day.

However, despite Vincent Kompany being at the helm, football.london understands Batshuayi is keen to remain at Stamford Bridge and fight for his place in the Chelsea squad.

And the frontman has reiterated that stance with a hilariopus social media post, responding to the Anderlecht rumours.

The official Twitter account for FranceFootball.fr tweeted that Anderlecht were "trying everything" to sign Batshuayi.

The striker was having none of it though, posting a photo of himself, with his middle finger up, though it was not explicit, because Batshuayi covered up his middle finger with a graphic that said 'LOL'.
