Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi deciding between West Ham and Real Betis in final hours of transfer window

Michy Batshuayi is deciding whether to join West Ham on loan after Chelsea reached an agreement with their Premier League rivals for the striker.

Chelsea have also come to a similar deal with Spanish club Real Betis, leaving the player — who is currently on loan at Valencia — to make the final call on his future.

Batshuayi had been hoping for a move to Everton but the Merseyside club would need to complete a permanent deal due to Premier League loan rules.

They already have one Chelsea player, Kurt Zouma, on a season-long stint at Goodison Park.

Valencia resolved to cut short Batshuayi’s loan deal after he scored only three goals in 23 appearances for them during the first half of the season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater looks set to stay at the club for the rest of the season.

The former Leicester midfielder, who has not played since the Community Shield loss to Manchester City despite being fully fit, has been linked with West Ham, Bournemouth, Burnley and Fulham. However, Standard Sport has learned that the only serious offers have come from abroad and the 28-year-old isn’t interested.
