Chelsea stars party for David Luiz's birthday - and fans love N'Golo Kante's costume

Chelsea had a frustrating night on Monday as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Burnley .

But players took their minds off that disappointment to celebrate David Luiz's 32nd birthday on Tuesday night.

A number of Blues stars were spotted partying at the fancy dress bash, with Luiz donning a Native American costume for the lavish occasion.

Striker Olivier Giroud wore a French chicken hat as they enjoyed the occasion - but it was N'Golo Kante's batman costume that has got people talking.

The popular midfielder certainly looked the part as a photo circulated alongside Chelsea Women's star Ali Riley.

One fan said: "Ngolo Kante dressed up as batman might be one of the better things you'll see all week" whilst another added you "just can't hate the guy".

A number of Chelsea's female stars also attended the part, with Fran Kirby dressed as Donkey from Shrek with team-mates Maren Mjelde and Maria Thorisdottir completing the cast as Shreck and Princess Fiona.

Maurizio Sarri's side saw their Premier League top four hopes dealt a blow with their Burnley draw the previous evening.

It led to Luiz slamming their opponents for "anti-football" after the Clarets frustrated them for large periods of the game.

"We tried everything to win the game," he told Sky Sports. "It's difficult when you play against a team who have two chances and score two goals and didn't want to play the game.

"It's anti-football. Losing time [time wasting] all the time, especially when you have the ball.

"Their players went to the floor and stopped the game. They were playing 11 inside the box. It's difficult to score against a team like that."

He nonetheless moved on by celebrating his birthday in style alongside his fellow Chelsea stars.
