Chelsea star Jorginho reveals which 'complete striker' has impressed him this season

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has hailed Norwich star Teemu Pukki as "a complete striker" - and says it is no shock that the hitman has hit the ground running in the Premier League.

Pukki scored 29 goals as the Canaries were promoted from the Championship last season and he has been able to continue his goalscoring exploits in the top-flight.

He managed an impressive solo goal in the opening-day 4-1 defeat at Liverpool , before netting a stunning hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Newcastle to announce himself in the Premier League.

The Finn then notched in the 3-2 defeat by Chelsea but was unable to find the net in last Saturday's 2-0 loss at West Ham, the first game this season in which he has failed to score.

Jorginho will go head-to-head with the forward when his Italy team travel to Pukki's Finland on Sunday night and, ahead of that match, he has heaped praise on his Premier League rival.

“We’ll go out there to win, regardless of who plays and which characteristics they bring to the table. The important thing is the coach has plenty of options to choose from,” said Jorginho in a press conference.

“He (Pukki) is their most important player, but we should keep a close eye on all of them. Finland are not a surprise, as the quality of their players is evident and they work as a team.

“Pukki has a bit of everything, which makes him a complete striker. He times his runs well, is very intelligent in his positioning, runs hard, presses opponents and never stops moving.

“He protects the ball, can provide assists, he really is dangerous."

Pukki's incredible start to the season sees him sit second in the Premier League goalscoring charts, just one goal behind Manchester City's Sergio Aguero leading tally of six.

And Jorginho isn't surprised by his exploits in front of goal.

"It’s no coincidence that he is one of the current Premier League top scorers," he added.
