Chelsea star Eden Hazard warns rivals: Kick me and I will punish you with some magic

Eden Hazard says a kick from an opposing defender only fuels his determination to conjure something special for Chelsea.

The Belgian is one of the closely guarded players in the Premier League, often topping charts of the most-fouled player in the division alongside the likes of Wilfried Zaha.

Hazard broke a century of goals for Chelsea with a brace against Watford on Boxing Day, suffering twice as many fouls as any player on the Vicarage Road pitch in the process.

Close attention is nothing new for Hazard and insists it only serves to backfire on his opponents.

"Sometimes it's tough, for seven years I have got kicked all the time," Hazard told Chelsea's official club website. "But now I take care of my ankles, my knees!

"We have one of the best medical departments in the world.

"I don't like to say I like it, but when people kick me it gives me a feeling that I am too good or they just want to stop me and they can't.

"That gives me extra power to do something magic."
