Chelsea star Eden Hazard is just so difficult to stop when in full flow, says Mark Noble

Obviously Eden Hazard’s first goal stole the headlines at Chelsea on Monday and there’s not a lot we could have done about it.

If you foul him, it’s a penalty and he has such quick feet, he is so difficult to stop when he is in full flow. He doesn’t let you mark him, get close to him and when he has the ball he is deceptively strong. He has a low centre of gravity and is solidly built.

Even when you kick him — I’ve tried once or twice! — you can’t get the ball off him.

He’s 28 and probably got one big contract left. Wherever that is, Chelsea or Real Madrid, I reckon he’s looking at a nice pay day and we’ve probably helped him towards it by conceding that goal. I just hope that Chelsea fans appreciate him and don’t take him for granted because he is one special talent.

We’re looking forward to going to Manchester United on Saturday. We were encouraged by our second-half performance at Stamford Bridge, it’s our last away game outside London and if we can reproduce the sort of performance we produced at home back in September, when we beat them 3-1, then no one will be more delighted than me. Our main worry is that, away from home, we’ve scored just one goal since this year — and that was my penalty against Crystal Palace in February.
