Chelsea star drops massive hint on the Blues' player plans amid transfer ban

Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen has claimed that the players have been told the club will not be able to appeal their transfer ban this summer.

The Blues were hit with a two-window ban from registering new players after breaking FIFA regulations into the signing of youth players.

The club are in the process of appealing the ruling, however the request from the club to freeze the ban until the appeals process takes its course was refused by the governing body.

That means the Blues will have to go to plan B for the summer, going more for their loan players and maybe having to extend contracts.

And Christensen stated that he doesn't think Chelsea are going to be successful in appealing the ruling in time for the next window.

"The messages we’ve got are that Chelsea can’t appeal the case and therefore want to keep all the players," he told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet while on international duty with Denmark.

Christensen has gone from being a regular starter in the heart of the Chelsea defence to having to watch the majority of Premier League games from the bench.

The young Dane has been a constant presence in the domestic competitions and in the Europa League, however his performances in those tournaments have not translated into more league action.

That's something that has been difficult for the 22-year-old, adding: "The situation I have ended up in has been very difficult to accept.

"I have tried to show myself on the training track, but it is difficult because it is limited how much we train with all the matches the team is going to play.

"Now I have played the matches in the Europa League and hope it will continue as long as we are in the tournament."
