Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has sent a message of support to his team-mate Ruben Loftus-Cheek after the England midfielder ruptured his Achilles tendon.
The 23-year-old sustained the injury blow during the Blues' friendly win over New England Revolution earlier this week in the United States, with the Chelsea midfielder limping off after 68 minutes after going to ground clutching his left ankle.
Loftus-Cheek was seen leaving the Gillette Stadium on crutches and Chelsea confirmed on Thursday that the player had ruptured his Achilles tendon in the 3-0 victory.
He has since undergone surgery on the injury and is now facing a spell on the sidelines, with Loftus-Cheek set to miss the Europa League final against Arsenal later this month, and the UEFA Nations League finals in Portugal with England next month.

Meanwhile, Loftus-Cheek has posted a message to Chelsea fans himself, with the midfielder vowing to come back strong from the injury, while wishing his team-mates at club and country all the best for their upcoming finals.
