Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi outlines end-of-season targets

Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has set his sights on finishing the season with a trophy and a spot in England’s squad for Euro 2020.

The 19-year-old has endured a difficult campaign so far as he continues to work his way back to his best after having surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon in April of last year.

The youngster appeared to turn a corner last weekend, however, when he scored and claimed an assist in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the Third Round of the FA Cup.

It was only Hudson-Odoi’s second goal of the season, but he is now looking to finish the campaign with a trophy and a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad at Euro 2020 this summer.

“As I say to myself, I have got to be positive and confident in every situation,” Hudson-Odoi told Chelsea TV.

“I think the season has gone how it has and I just want to be confident for how it is from now onwards until the end of the season.

“For myself really, I am confident, I am being myself, I am really happy. Obviously I want to be picked for the Euros, but that doesn’t just come by being picked. You have to work hard to get picked.

“As I say I just want to keep going, keep pushing myself, hopefully get involved in the squad, hopefully go far and try and win a trophy with the team as well.
