Cesar Azpilicueta has no doubts Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to take the Premier League by storm.
Maurizio Sarri is set to finally hand Hudson-Odoi, 18, his first start in the top flight against Brighton tonight.
The winger is regarded as one of the best youngsters in Europe and made his full England debut in Montenegro last week.
Chelsea are in a close battle to secure a place in the Champions League via a top-four finish and Azpilicueta believes Hudson-Odoi’s involvement can give the team a big lift.
He said: “I have no doubt he can make an impact in the Premier League.
“I knew him when he was a kid [in the academy]. To see what he is doing now is amazing. Can he help us in the run-in? Yes, yes, yes.
“I saw him with England, it was a great performance. To show this ability for someone who is 18 is special.”
