Chelsea sign goalkeeper Green on one-year contract

(Reuters) - Chelsea have signed 38-year-old former England goalkeeper Rob Green to a one-year contract as back-up for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero, the Premier League club have said.

Green, who also played for West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City, was released by Huddersfield Town at the end of last season having made just one League Cup appearance.

"It has been a pretty dramatic time for me and I can't wait to get started. I am absolutely delighted and it is a thrill and an honour to be here," Green, who won 12 England caps, told the club's website. https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2018/7/26/green-becomes-a-blue
