Chelsea sent Sergio Aguero transfer message amid Romelu Lukaku and Erling Haaland links

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has sent a clear message to Chelsea over Sergio Aguero.

Aguero is on his way out of Manchester City this summer after a decade at the Etihad Stadium, deciding to seek a new challenge with his contract coming to an end.

The Argentine now has everyone wondering where his next destination will be having come synonymous with the City sky blue during the last 10 years.

But while the likes of Barcelona have been linked, Ferdinand believes Aguero will stay in the Premier League, and he has told Chelsea to make a move for the seasoned goalscorer.

"I think he stays in the Premier League," Ferdinand said on his Vibe with Five YouTube show. "If I’m Chelsea I take him now. If I’m Chelsea I go and get him… quick!"

"If I’m them I go and get Aguero if I can’t get a Haaland or someone like that."

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Haaland, but it seems the Norwegian could be out of their reach this summer.

Former Blues frontman and now Inter Milan star Romelu Lukaku is now tipped to make a move back to Stamford Bridge, but even he comes with a £105million price tag.

Aguero could be a cheap option, albeit with large wages, though with Olivier Giroud and maybe even Tammy Abraham set to leave, there's no real reason why the Blues couldn't sign someone like Lukaku and Aguero.

The only issue could be if Aguero wants to be guaranteed a starting spot, still 32 and capable of playing regularly at the top level despite recent injury issues.
