Chelsea second half player ratings: Kepa brilliant as Barkley catches the eye in Barcelona win

Kepa Arrizabalaga

Total opposite of the first half as he was tested a number of times after the restart. Saved well from Rafinha, Carles Perez and Carles Alena. 7

Cesar Azpilicueta

Couldn't push on as much as he would have liked after Barcelona upped the tempo and started to dominate proceedings.  5

Andreas Christensen

Started the half but was subbed off after only three minutes in place of Fikayo Tomori. N/A

Kurt Zouma

Another strong showing from the Frenchman at the back, Didn't have as much to do as the game wore on as Chelsea started to push on and look for a second goal. 5

Marcos Alonso

Brought on at the break and had a couple of runs upfield as he looked to help the team in attack. Almost had an assist to his name as he brilliantly played in Michy Batshuayi but his finish was lacking. Got one in the last 10 minutes as he teed up Ross Barkley for the second of the game. 6

Jorginho

Had more to do defensively in the second half as Barcelona pushed on for an equaliser. Another good shift from the Italian. 6

Mateo Kovacic

Decent again after the restart but didn't have as much time on the ball. A good week in Japan for the ex-Real Madrid man. 6

Pedro

Just couldn't have an impact going forward with the team trying to keep Barcelona out. 5

Mason Mount

Quiet second half from the player as he made way on 60 minutes for Barkley. 5

Christian Pulisic

Bit of a loose ball at the start of the half that almost saw Barcelona attack as Pedro tried to keep the ball in. Didn't have much of an impact going forward as Barcelona had all the ball. 5

Tammy Abraham

Quiet second half for the youngster with Barcelona dominating possession prior to his substitution. 5

Substitutes

Fikayo Tomori (Andreas Christensen, 48)

Let Carles Perez get by him too easily at the start of the second half as he jinked his way into the area. Was much better after that as he settled well into the game. 6

Ross Barkley (Mason Mount, 60)

Not as bright as on Friday against Kawasaki Frontale but opened his account for pre-season with a left-footed strike. Used the ball well at times with some good passing across the park. 7

Kenedy (Christian Pulisic, 60)

Impressed again following his introduction. Always involved and was unlucky with Ter Stegen saving well from his deflected effort. 7

Olivier Giroud (Tammy Abraham, 60)

Quiet for the striker again with no clear chances on goal. 5

Davide Zappacosta (Cesar Azpilicueta, 70)

Steady from the right-back. 4

Tiemoue Bakayoko (Mateo Kovacic, 70)

Needs longer on the pitch to make an impact as he bids to win a place in Lampard's squad for this season. 4

Danny Drinkwater (Jorginho, 70)

Just kept things simple in the middle when he was on the ball. 4

Michy Batshuayi (Pedro, 70)

Really should have done better with his effort following a great through ball from Alonso. 4
