Chelsea sale: Vivek Ranadive putting 'final touches' on bid to buy club from Roman Abramovich

Sacramento Kings owner Vivek Ranadive is the latest person to register an interest in buying Chelsea Football Club from Roman Abramovich.

According to Sportico, Ranadive is 'putting the final touches' on an offer for the west London-based club following Abramovich's statement last week where the Russian confirmed he would be selling his shares.

Ranadive, 64, is an Indian-American businessman, who is the founder of TIBCO Software and he also owns the NBA franchise, the Sacramento Kings.

The businessman was formerly the co-owner of fellow NBA outfit Golden State Warriors, before taking over at the Kings in March 2013, where he has been ever since.

Now, though, Ranadive apparently wants to expand his business across the Atlantic Ocean and to the Premier League with Chelsea.

The likes of Todd Boehly and Robert "Woody" Johnson have also expressed an interest in taking over at the Blues, with Abramovich valuing the club at £3billion.

There is plenty of action taking place behind the scenes right now, but Thomas Tuchel is determined to not let the noise distract him and his players from the ongoing season.

Speaking last week, the Chelsea boss insisted the club was the "perfect fit" for him and he sees his future at Stamford Bridge.

The German coach said: "I said many times I love working in the Premier League, in England, to feel the tradition and love for sports and football in particular.

"Chelsea, for me, is a perfect fit. I love to be here and I love everything about the club. Hopefully it continues.

"There is now uncertainty, but isn't it always as a football manager? I'm used and trained to live with it on different levels. This is quite a new level but I have to live with it.

"I am positive and I hope things will end well."
