Chelsea are owed more than €8million by Juventus, which must be paid by 30 June 2020.
The Italian side's latest accounts for the 2018/19 season, published recently, show the debt owed to Chelsea relating to a player transfer between the two clubs.
It remains unknown if the €8.17million (£7million) fee has been paid already or is outstanding.
The player in question is not named but is logically Juan Cuadrado, who spent two seasons on loan at Juventus between 2015 and 2017 before joining on a permanent transfer for a reported £18million ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The Colombian winger had joined Chelsea in January 2015 from Fiorentina for around £25million but quickly found himself back in Italy after failing to nail down a place in Jose Mourinho's side.
Juventus' accounts for the 2017/18 season had shown a debt outstanding of €13.3million, split evenly between a payment due in 12 months and the remainder thereafter.
The fact Cuadrado's fee has increased suggests he has triggered an appearance- or silverware-related bonus in his contract. The Colombian has featured regularly since his permanent move to Juve, winning two Serie A titles in that time and the Coppa Italia.
On the other hand, Juve's accounts show Chelsea owed the Turin side €154,000 by 30 June 2020, which likely pertains to Gonzalo Higuain's loan move to the Blues back in January.
Again, this fee could already have been paid.
