Chelsea's transfer stance on Kai Havertz as Liverpool and Man United confirmed in six-way race

Chelsea are battling no fewer than five clubs for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

According to Bild's head of football, Christian Falk, the Blues are indeed one of the clubs chasing the midfielder, but they are joined by a number of clubs, including two Premier League rivals.

Falk claims, along with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are all chasing the seven-time Germany international.

He wrote on Twitter : "The @kaihavertz29 poker. At the table for a transfer 2020 or 2021: @realmadriden @FCBarcelona @LFC @ManUtd @ChelseaFC and of course @FCBayern."

Havertz, who has been with Leverkusen for 2010, has two years remaining on his current contract, penning a five-year deal in 2017.

According to Bild, Leverkusen don't plan on letting Havertz leave for any less than €100 million.

The 20-year-old has scored 15 and assisted eight from midfield in all competitions this season.

And it seems Frank Lampard is hoping to add Havertz to his midfield this summer.

Though, the Blues are in for quite the battle if Falk's claims prove to be accurate.
