Chelsea’s suspended winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been handed a ban – after repeatedly flouting the UK’s traffic laws.
The 24-year-old Ukrainian international has not played for the Blues since December last year when he was accused of testing positive for a banned substance.
Mudryk was charged with violating anti-doping rules in June, leaving his footballing career in limbo as he awaits the outcome of the FA investigation.
But in the meantime, he has picked up a six-month driving ban for a string of driving offences, culminating in a speeding ticket in his customised BMW M8.
At Lavender Hill magistrates court last month, the star was disqualified from driving by magistrates, having amassed 13 penalty points on his licence in the space of 18 months.
Mudryk, who sent a lawyer in his place to the court hearing, was also fined £660, ordered to pay £130 in costs, and settle a £266 victim surcharge.
Chelsea paid Shakhtar Donetsk £62 million for Mudryk in January 2023, handing the player an eight-and-a-half year deal and agreeing the transfer fee could go up to £89 million with add-ons.

But the winger has failed to light up the Premier League, notching just five goals across 53 Chelsea league appearances.
On January 24 this year, a month after his suspension from football, Mudryk was pulled over by Met Police special constable Andrew Kinsella at just before 11am on South Circular in Wandsworth.
The footballer’s car, carrying a personalised numberplate featuring his initials and Chelsea shirt number 10, had been clocked at 36mph in a 20mph zone.
“Initially the driver did not stop at the location and I followed the driver in my car”, said the officer.
“After indicating for him to stop a number of times further up the road the driver eventually pulled over in Strath Terrace.”
Court papers show Mudryk handed over his Ukrainian driving licence, which already had eight penalty points.

Mudryk pleaded guilty to the offence of speeding in writing in May, when the case was initially dealt with in the Single Justice Procedure.
An open court hearing was arranged for August 21, as Mudryk was facing an automatic driving ban.
He was handed five extra points for his licence by magistrates, and was ordered to settle the court bill of £1,056 by September 17.
Mudryk, who featured for Ukraine at Euro 2024, said he was in “complete shock” after the initial failed drugs test, and said he would “never knowingly use any banned substances”.
Chelsea said at the time: "Mykhailo has confirmed categorically that he has never knowingly used any banned substances."
If found guilty, he faces a ban of up to four years.
His number 10 shirt was handed over to Cole Palmer for the start of the 2025/26 season.
