Chelsea's second bust-up in two days as Reece James clashes with teammate in dressing room

Thomas Tuchel was quick to urge his Chelsea side to remain calm in the aftermath of a shock 5-2 defeat at home to relegation-zone dwellers West Bromwich Albion, but tensions reportedly spilled over after the full-time whistle.

The Telegraph report that Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta was quick to give his fellow defender, Reece James, a piece of his mind after the Blues backline began their inquest into how they shipped five goals to a West Brom outfit that have scored just 25 all season.

The 21-year-old fullback was partly at fault for the visitors second goal, and struggled to shake off the after-effects of that mistake - James was guilty of a number of stray passes for the remainder of the game.

However, despite the argument between James and Azpilicueta in the Stamford Bridge dressing room, it is reported the pair settled their differences away from the glare of the rest of the squad. Both defenders trained alongside each other on Sunday morning.

The exchange preceded another reported bust-up between defender Antonio Rudiger and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga on Sunday during training.

According to The Telegraph, the pair were separated by Tuchel, who sent Rudiger in from training five minutes before the end of the session to calm down before the situation escalated.

The report claims the spat stemmed from a small-sided game, in which Kepa was the victim of a late tackle from Rudiger. Unhappy with the treatment, Kepa took objection to Rudiger's challenge, who responded by shoving the Spaniard.

On hand to cool tempers immediately, Tuchel broke up the pair's pushing of each other and demanded Rudiger leave the training pitch until he had calmed.

Back on the pitch, Tuchel will be desperate to put the thought of his first Chelsea defeat behind him as quickly as possible as he gears up for the trip to Porto in midweek for the first leg of what is set to be a huge Champions League quarter-final clash.

Should the Blues progress past the Portuguese outfit, they will meet one of Real Madrid or Premier League rivals Liverpool in the semi-final, with many Chelsea fans seeing a realistic route to the final on May 29.
