Chelsea's odds of landing Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen have been slashed following reports of the Blues interest in a spectacular deal.
Frank Lampard's side have already taken advantage of the fact their FIFA-imposed transfer ban by securing an agreement to land Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner is expected to follow suit from RB Leipzig.
The Blues show no signs of stopping though and recent reports have stated that Chelsea have expressed an interest in securing a £70m deal for Leverkusen star Havertz.
The Germany international has been on fire in recent seasons, shining in particular since the Bundesliga's restart to drive up interest in his services further.
Chelsea's interest is seen as genuine by the bookmakers, with 888 Sport revealing that their odds have tumbled down from 4/1to 6/4 - making them joint-favourites for a deal alongside Bayern Munich.
“After reports of a £70m from Chelsea, we’ve cut the odds of him moving to West London this summer," an 888 spokesman said.
“He is one of the most sought-after youngsters in world football and it would be quite a coup if Chelsea are able to beat the likes of Bayern Munich and Liverpool to his signature.
“With Frank Lampard previously hamstrung by Chelsea’s transfer ban, he has made no secret of his to desire to spend this summer and strengthen in attack - a move to Stamford Bridge is looking increasingly likely.”
