Callum Hudson-Odoi says Chelsea’s new boys are already fully aware of the history of their rivalry with Tottenham ahead of this weekend’s huge clash at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Tottenham meet in the Premier League on Sunday when both clubs will be looking to put down a marker about their title aspirations.

Summer signings Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Kai Havertz will all be getting their first taste of a London derby against Spurs.

Asked if they need to be told about the history of the rivalry, Hudson-Odoi said: “No, I think they know already. They know it is a big game. Every time Chelsea play Tottenham, everybody knows how big of a game it is.

“We want to win every game that we play against them. The new boys already know that it is going to be a massive game, it is going to be a tough one as well but we want to go out there and get the three points and hopefully we will be smiling at the weekend.

“It is a big derby, we want to beat them. It is a massive game. We are going to go in there confident. We have to make sure we recover well after Tuesday and hopefully get the three points.”

Hudson-Odoi hopes to be involved against Tottenham after scoring in Tuesday’s 2-1 Champions League win against Rennes.

“Every opportunity I get I want to take,” said the winger. “Every time I get an opportunity I want to impress as much as possible, get as many goals and assists as possible and work hard for the team as much as possible. Hopefully I can keep going and get more opportunities."
