Chelsea's new fourth kit discovered on sale ahead of FA Cup release in 2020

Two weeks ago, Chelsea teased a new kit on social media.

On Instagram, they posted a video with what is an expected release date of December 21st.

They also hinted with the number 50 - a reference to the 1969/70 season when the Blues beat Leeds United to win their first ever FA Cup, with the likelihood being that it will be used exclusively in the cup.

Chelsea face Nottingham Forest in the third round at Stamford Bridge, meaning they will be able to wear the blue kit.

And fans hoping for an early look at the new shirt are in luck, with it being already on sale in the United States of America, as discovered by football.london reporter Rob Guest in New York.

The kit still features sponsorship from Yokohama Tires and sleeve sponsor Hyundai, as well as kit maker Nike's logo. However, they are all coloured to blend in with the shirt in a nod to the days before sponsorship.

The 1970 cup final went to a replay after the first game at Wembley Stadium finished 2-2 after extra time.

When the teams reconvened at Old Trafford for the replay, it again finished level after 90 minutes, with Peter Osgood finding a late equaliser for the Blues.

And just before half-time in extra time, David Webb nodded home after a long throw to seal their first ever FA Cup win.

Fans hoping to purchase the kit will have to wait, however, with the release not due until the end of the week.
