Kepa Arrizabalaga has said there is no issue between himself and David de Gea as the pair battle for the Spain number one spot.
For years it seemed the Manchester United stopper was being groomed as the long-term replacement for Iker Casillas.
However, his position as the first-choice keeper for the national team came under threat following a poor World Cup campaign last summer as well as making a number of high-profile errors last season.
This has allowed Kepa to stake his claim and has now started the last four Spain international fixtures.
It's safe to say that de Gea has lost his status as La Roja number one, although coach Robert Moreno says he "doesn't believe that in a national team it's crucial that the same goalkeeper plays all the games."
Regardless of the situation, Kepa insists his main rival for the number one spot has not kicked up a fuss.
"Whoever plays is the coach's decision, we always train with three goalkeepers and the atmosphere is very good," he told Marca.
Kepa also praised the performance of Romania goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu who made several brilliant stops to prevent Spain from running up a cricket score.
"Their goalkeeper also played and he played really well," Kepa added.
Some Chelsea supporters heaped praise on the 24-year-old after he pulled off a stunning save to ensure 10-man La Roja beat Romania in their Euro 2020 qualifier.

Of the two keepers, de Gea is actually the one who has kept a clean sheet this season - ironically that came in the game where Kepa conceded four goals as the Blues were battered by the Red Devils at Old Trafford in Frank Lampard's competitive debut as Chelsea head coach.
All is not lost for the United star as per Moreno's refusal to play the same keeper in every game. So it could be that de Gea gets a chance when Spain face the Faroe Islands on Sunday.
