Every season there is usually one star that absolutely thrives when on loan away from a Premier League heavyweight, and Conor Gallagher's rise at Crystal Palace is the prime example so far this campaign.
Gallagher has six goals and three assists in 15 Premier League games for Palace already this season, and Chelsea will be grateful that they only allowed the star to leave Stamford Bridge on loan this summer.
The England international has impressed so much, that there have been reports suggesting that Chelsea may look to recall him from his loan spell and integrate him into Thomas Tuchel's side earlier than expected.
However, unfortunately for the Blues, that won't be possible.

Chelsea do not have the option to recall either Gallagher or fellow Blues midfielder Billy Gilmour prematurely due to terms and conditions of the break clause sedimented in their deals with Palace and Norwich City respectively.
When a loan deal pays off, it's a fabulous example of how the system can be executed so perfectly to benefit both parties involved in the deal.
It's rather rare though that it works so well that the loaned player proves so quickly that they actually warrant a start back in the side of their parent club, but unfortunately for Chelsea, they'll have to stand back and watch for the remainder of the season.
That's because according to The Athletic, both Gilmour and Gallagher have made enough appearances for their loan sides to prevent their parent clubs snatching them back early, meaning that they must remain untouched for the rest of the season.

With the amount of quality that Chelsea boast, it's certainly not a deal breaker, and the pair were only loaned due to the fact that Tuchel felt as though they were well covered in the midfield area.
However, Gallagher isn't just the best midfielder at Palace right now, he's up there with the best in the Premier League, and the 21-year-old has a bright future ahead.
It's likely that Gallagher will kick on at Chelsea and prove his worth the way that other academy graduates have, joining the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah in the first team.
If Chelsea decide that he isn't right for their star-studded squad though, then Gallagher's performances have warranted an immense price tag if any club does decide to buy the talented midfielder.
Gallagher's position is extremely congested at Stamford Bridge, with Ngolo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek all operating that central role in Tuchel's team.
The 21-year-old has certainly made a statement while on loan at London rivals Palace, and Gallagher still has over half of the season remaining to raise his stick even more, and give himself as much of a chance of impressing Tuchel as possible.
