Here is the Chelsea morning digest on Tuesday, August 11.
The contenders to take Willian’s no. 10 shirt
For the second summer running, the No.10 shirt will be vacant at Chelsea following Willian’s departure from Stamford Bridge.
Willian took the famous shirt number following Eden Hazard’s move to Real Madrid at the end of last season.
As Rob Guest of football.london writes, there are multiple options to take the Brazilian’s shirt number for the 2020/21 campaign.
Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz are the names mentioned - find out why here.
Every goalkeeper linked with the Blues
The future of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is still very uncertain, and there has been a host of top shot-stoppers linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak is perhaps the most exciting name being linked, with Nick Pope, Andre Onana, Kasper Schmeichel, Dean Henderson and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen also being talked about.
Frank Lampard needs to tighten up his defensive line, and one way of doing that is with a top goalkeeper, something they’ve needed since Thibaut Cortois’ exit in 2018.

Gunners threaten to hijack Chelsea move
Arsenal have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon, according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, via the Express.
Reguilon is currently on loan at Madrid’s La Liga rivals Sevilla, and will return to the Santiago Bernabeu once Los Nervionenses’ Europa League campaign is over.
The Blues are reportedly keen on the Spanish left-back as a potential alternative to Leicester defender Ben Chilwell.
However, the Gunners, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are also interested in the 23-year-old after an impressive loan spell in Seville.
