Chelsea's clash with Manchester United in the Carabao Cup moved for TV coverage

Chelsea's Carabao Cup clash against Manchester United has been moved for live TV coverage.

The fourth round clash, which takes place at Stamford Bridge, was originally due to take place on Tuesday October 29 but has now been moved for coverage on Sky Sports.

The fixture will now take place on Wednesday October 30 with a kick-off time of 8.05pm.

This means that the clash with the Red Devils will fall between the trip to Burnley on October 26 and the trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford on November 2.

Chelsea will certainly be hoping to make a mark in the Carabao Cup this term.

The trophy represents the first opportunity for English sides to win silverware, with the final due to take place on Sunday March 1.

Given how close the Blues came to lifting the trophy last season, Frank Lampard will be determined to get his managerial career at Stamford Bridge off to the best possible start.

Lampard's side secured their place in the fourth round with a comfortable 7-1 victory over Grimsby Town.

The manager used that game to field a number of young stars, while also allowing the likes of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James to get some valuable minutes in their comeback from injury.

It remains to be seen whether the clash with Manchester United will see the Blues name a stronger side as they go in search of silverware.
