Chelsea's Champions League draw opponents for round of 16 and match dates confirmed

Chelsea will face Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the Champions League after the draw was made this morning.

The Blues managed to edge their way into the knockout stages after coming second in Group H.

It was a nervous night for Frank Lampard's side when they took on Lille in the final group, squeezing through with a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge.

But it meant that Lampard's first season as Blues head coach as hit the first target that he set out for.

Chelsea 'not taking enough chances' says Frank Lampard

With Chelsea having come second in the group, it means that they will play at home in the first leg.

That game will either be on 18/19/25/26 February at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues needing to get a decent result to start off the knockout stages.

The second leg will be away at the Allianz Arena, with the game to be played on either 10/11/17/18 March.

The Blues will be hoping their form goes up a notch to what they are experiencing right now.

Chelsea lost 1-0 to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, which was their fourth Premier League defeat in five matches.

They are now in a battle to hang on to top four spot.
