Chelsea's best line-up if Marina Granovskaia completes deal for John Terry's dream signing

After a quiet January transfer window, Chelsea are sure to make amends this summer as Frank Lampard aims to establish the Blues as Premier League contenders.

Chelsea have already secured the signing of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, while the Blues are also thought to be in the market for a left-back, a midfielder and a forward.

There was speculation that Lampard was keen to sign a new goalkeeper, but Kepa Arrizabalaga had regained the number one spot with a series of impressive performances before the season was postponed.

Ajax's Andre Onana has been linked, with  the Cameroonian already admitting that he is looking to leave  the Dutch side this summer, but the Blues have bigger priorities further up the field.

One player who has repeatedly been linked with a move to west London is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, after his impressive season in the Bundesliga.

The England international has scored 14 goals and 15 assists this season, and Chelsea legend John Terry has already declared that Sancho would be a huge asset to Lampard’s side.

If Sancho was to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, there is no doubt that Chelsea would have to spend a club record fee to secure his signature, with reports suggesting that it may cost as much as £120million.

But Terry believes the teenager would be worth every penny.

“I think the young lads have shown their potential," the Blues legend told Frank Khalid in March.

“We spoke at the start of the season about the likes of Tammy and Mason coming into the squad and they’ve shown that they’re capable of playing.

“I think Sancho is one of the best young players in the world at the moment, so he’d be a great addition to the Chelsea squad.

“It would make us better as well but the ones that have come through, the Billy Gilmours, Tammy, Mason, Reece, it's endless isn’t it? There have been so many positives this season.

“So I think every Chelsea fan, since I came through the ranks, that’s all Chelsea fans wanted to see: the youth team players and the younger generation coming through and making their first team debuts.

“We’ve seen that in abundance this year."

Sancho's potential arrival would see him slot into Chelsea's first choice front three alongside Hakim Ziyech and whoever plays in the number nine role.

Mason Mount could line up in a midfield three alongside N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic, whilst the back four would remain similar to how the Blues played before the season was postponed.

A new left-back could arrive, with Leicester's Ben Chilwell and Porto's Alex Telles both linked, but Marcos Alonso looks to be ahead of Emerson Palmieri in Lampard's thinking at present.

On the opposite side, Reece James will look to cement his place as Chelsea's first choice right-back ahead of the trusty Cesar Azpilicueta.

Chelsea's XI: Kepa; James, Zouma, Rudiger, Alonso; Kante, Kovacic, Mount; Ziyech, Sancho, Abraham.
