Chelsea put plan in place for Tchouameni as Frank Lampard keeps an eye on Premier League job

Welcome to our football.london CareFree Chelsea daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.

Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions doing the daily rounds.

Frank Lampard keeping an eye on Leicester City job

Eurosport has reported that after withdrawing from the race for the Norwich City job, Frank Lampard could swoop in for another in the Premier League.

This is all of if the managerial domino’s fall in the right place, as current Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers is linked with a move to Manchester United which will leave the coaching chair at the King Power empty.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been having a tough time as the Manchester United and after a run of bad results, it looked like his position could be in danger. Rodgers was one of the names linked with taking over from the Norweigan.

If Rodgers does leave his current post, Lampard could be ready to swoop in. The Eurosport report states that he’s wary of picking the right club to move to next, but does have one eye firmly on the Leicester City job.

Our take: I think this could be an interesting one. It would benefit Frank to take a step down after the Chelsea job, yet managing Leicester City would still be a top gig.

But, It would be interesting to see if Lampard fits the bill at Leicester. The club like to go with experience who can keep them in and around that top sixth position and experience is something Lampard lacks.

Chelsea unwilling to sell Gallagher

It’s been reported that Chelsea refused to add buy option clauses in loan deals for academy graduate, Conor Gallagher.

After his recent exploits for Patrick Vieira’s, Crystal Palace will be on the case once again to sign him permanently states the report, as the midfielder has grown into the game but he could return under Thomas Tuchel as he continues to build a powerhouse Chelsea squad.

Newcastle United and Leeds were also said to be interested in signing the 21-year-old but Chelsea was insistent on no permanent deal for the player.

Gallagher earned his first senior England international appearance on Monday which will only add to the number of eyes watching the youngster.

Our take: It’s nice to see that Chelsea understand that they have some homegrown talent on their hands in the form of Gallagher. He has truly been outstanding in the Premier League with Palace and that has been repaid with an England call-up.

Chelsea will want to keep him and integrate the Cobham graduate into the first team and it looks like their intentions are heading in that direction.

Tchouameni top of transfer list

Chelsea is planning a bid to sign Aurelian Tchouameni in the January transfer window, which would then see the player join the Blues in the summer.

The 21-year-old was of big interest by Chelsea in this seasons summer transfer window, but the club brought Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid on loan instead.

According to TeamTalk, the French international is interested in moving to England, but Chelsea will have to contend with Liverpool and Manchester United who are said to have scouted the midfielder heavily.

Our take: The club will be looking for a long-term replacement for Jorginho and N’Golo Kante who both have less than eighteen months left on their contracts.

So, bringing in the youngster would be a good shout and he is a force to be reckoned with looking at his performances. The question is will Chelsea beat the competition to sign the player?
