Chelsea provide vital travel information for Blues fans after Thomas Cook collapse

Chelsea have confirmed that they will organise new travel for fans travelling to Lille next week after Thomas Cook ceased trading yesterday.

The travel company failed to raised enough funds over the weekend, which has left some 22,000 people out of a job.

Thomas Cook Sport were also responsible for supporters' travel for Chelsea matches, while they also provided hospitality packages for home matches at Stamford Bridge.

With the Blues's first Champions League game in France next week, Chelsea has stated that they will now organise new arrangements for those who have booked through Thomas Cook for the upcoming matches.

However, for Ajax and Valencia the club have urged fans to organise their own travel.

The Blues will also cover the cost of Chelsea fans travelling to Southampton away on October 6, but supporters will have to re-book the travel themselves.

The statement on the Chelsea website read:

Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool: Frank Lampard press conference

Lille away

Thomas Cook will no longer be operating a trip to Lille. However, the club will now organise alternative travel arrangements at the club’s cost. Further information will be sent to supporters who booked with Thomas Cook later this week.

Ajax and Valencia away

Thomas Cook will now not be running trips to either Ajax or Valencia. Supporters who have made a booking with Thomas Cook for these matches have not been charged and should make alternative arrangements. At this stage the club is not planning to run trips to these matches.

Southampton away

Thomas Cook will now no longer operate a trip to Southampton. Supporters who had booked with Thomas Cook should make a new booking through the Chelsea website in the coming days. The club will now cover the costs of this travel. Further information will be announced later this week.

Hospitality packages at Stamford Bridge

All hospitality bookings made through Thomas Cook have been cancelled and supporters should contact their credit card provider.

Further information regarding domestic and European travel for Chelsea supporters will be announced in due course. We thank you for your understanding.
