Chelsea have provided a free stream for Frank Lampard’s first match in charge against Bohemians after users experienced problems with the club’s app.

A number of users of Chelsea’s ‘The 5th stand’ app reported problems with the live stream on social media with some unable to tune in as the pre-season friendly kicked off on Wednesday night.

The club later confirmed ongoing issues, issuing a free-to-watch link for fans to tune into the game mid-way through the second-half.

A short statement from the club read: “We are receiving intermittent problems with our live stream which may be affecting some users.

“If you are experiencing problems watching the game, please click on the link below to watch a live stream.”

Chelsea confirmed on Thursday that fans who had initially paid to watch the stream would be fully refunded.

Michy Batshuayi had earlier scored the first game of the Frank Lampard reign in Dublin.

Lampard, who officially took over on a three-year deal last week, has been working with the available members of his squad for the past five days after flying to Ireland.

A handful of youth team players on the trip were included the starting XI, with Marc Guehi starting at centre-back alongside captain Cesar Azpilicueta as Chelsea went on to draw 1-1.
