Chelsea are facing up to an FA charge which could see them docked points in a worst case scenario.
As the race for Champions League football prepares for a dramatic conclusion this afternoon, the Blues remain in pole position to qualify for a competition they have already reached the final of this season.
However, as Chelsea prepare for a three-way final day scrap against Liverpool and Leicester City, it's their recent clash with the latter which sees the club in the dock for a seventh time in as many years.
Towards the end of a crucial 2-1 victory over the Foxes at Stamford Bridge, a mass brawl involving 20 figures from both sides broke out.
Of course, Leicester have also been charged for their part in the heated exchange, which saw a number of players and staff members get involved in the aftermath of a strong challenge from Ricardo Pereira on his former Leicester teammate Ben Chilwell - now with Chelsea.
As revealed by the Mirror, this is not the first time the Blues have been picked up by the Football Association.
Indeed, back in July 2016, they were threatened by the governing body after appealing against a £375,000 fine dished out to them for their part in a fracas that broke out during a heated match with London rivals Tottenham two months prior.
Since that date, they have been charged on two further occasions with failing to control their players.
That is the same offence they are deemed to be in breach of during the victory over Leicester.
However, while they escaped financial punishment - and points deductions - in those two instances, Chelsea have already been warned by a former FA employee with knowledge of the disciplinary process.
They said: "It seems there's an issue within the club."
Chelsea and Leicester have until Tuesday to respond to the charge, but their top-four pursuit will already be sorted out by then - following an action-packed final day which sees the Blues visit Aston Villa.
Brendan Rodgers and his squad, meanwhile, boast home advantage against Tottenham - while third-place Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield. All three of those clashes kick-off at 4pm.
