Chelsea players' message to Ruben Loftus-Cheek proves what Lampard has built at Stamford Bridge

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is back with a bang ahead of the Premier League's return and his teammates seemed pretty please to see him back.

The 24-year-old has had a torrid year of recovery after suffering a ruptured Achilles' tendon in a post-season friendly against New England Revolution in May 2019.

Having been on the bench for the first team before the season was suspended, the England international played three U23s matches.

But now Loftus-Cheek has got himself back to full fitness and is pushing for a place in the starting XI, something which his last performance highlighted.

Deloitte predicts Premier League clubs will lose £1bn revenue this season

Loftus-Cheek was back at Stamford Bridge for the first time in more than a year in a match against other opposition and he marked it with an impressive brace.

The midfielder might be competing with teammates for positions in the starting XI, however the reaction to his post on Instagram shows that his fellow Blues players are right behind him.

Frank Lampard has built a big team spirit within the Chelsea squad during his first Premier League campaign as Blues boss.

And the messages to Loftus-Cheek on Instagram has certainly proved that.

Loftus-Cheek is ready to feature for the Blues after a long season on the sidelines and he could make a major impact in the side.
