Chelsea player ratings vs Barcelona in Women’s Champions League Final

Chelsea were thumped 4-0 in the final of the Women’s Champions League as Barcelona ran riot in the first-half.

Simon Collings ran the rule over Emma Hayes’ side...

Chelsea player ratings

Ann-Katrin Berger 5

A horrible night for the goalkeeper, which began with the own-goal looping over her. Couldn’t do much about the Barca goals, though.

Niamh Charles 4

Had an exceptionally difficult evening against the pacy Lieke Martens, who terrorised her all game.

Millie Bright 4

Like the whole Chelsea defence, the England international struggled against Barcelona’s forward line. A game to forget.

Magdalena Eriksson 4

The Chelsea captain had a tough evening against Jenni Hermoso, whose movement off the ball caused so many problems.

Jessica Carter 4

Like Charles on the other flank, she had a very difficult evening against a brilliant Barcelona attack. Couldn’t stop Bonmati scoring the third.

Melanie Leupolz 3

A nightmare game for the German, who scored an unfortunate own-goal and gave away a penalty. Taken off at half-time.

Sophie Ingle 5

A tough game for the Wales international, who attempted to sit deep and break up play. Booked.

Ji So-yun 6

The best of Chelsea’s midfielders on a miserable night. Tried to get things going, but just couldn’t compete with Barca’s midfield.

Fran Kirby 6

One of the few to come out of the game with much credit. Never stopped running and looked the most likely to make something happen.

Pernille Harder 4

Missed two great chances inside the opening 10 minutes. The first, in particular, was a glorious one and Harder will know she could have done better.

Sam Kerr 5

Nowhere near the level we have come to expect from the Australian. Had a few moments of brilliance, but a quiet night.

Substitutions

Guro Reiten (Leupolz 45’) 5

On at the break and did help stem the flow of goals, but couldn’t open Barca up.

Erin Cuthbert (Ji 73’) N/A

Beth England (Kerr 73’) N/A
