Willy Caballero
Pretty busy with the ball at his feet and made one good save in the first half to push away a chance from range.
Had little to do in the second half as Leicester rarely troubled his goal. However, one poor moment when he flapped at a cross that was then blocked. 6
Reece James
Struggled to get forward and only had one chance to get the ball into the box from a free-kick in the first half. However, defensively was strong in the tackle. 5
Antonio Rudiger
Generally solid in open play, with Chelsea playing a high line he dealt with the threat of Jamie Vardy pretty well, with the Englishman getting beyond him just once. Was frustrated with the play in front of him.
Massive in the opening goal when he burst forward and set up the attack. Pretty comfortable for much of the game. 7
Kurt Zouma
Another who looked a bit rusty at times in the first half, with some poor passes and looking sloppy at the back. However, he grew into the game.
Became a lot more confident, both in possession and out of it. Formed a good partnership with Rudiger and the pair kept Vardy very quiet. 7
Emerson
Lacked real ambition to get forwards in the first half. Played a good role in the Pulisic chance, but offered little to the Blues on the left.
It was much the same in the second half, with the Italy international not able to get forward, but holding his position instead. 5
N'Golo Kante
In the defensive position again and broke up play at times. However, not great on the ball and didn't really get the play moving forward enough.
The impetus of the half-time substitutes seem to give Kante a lift as well and he was driving forward better with ball. Held his position well at times to break up the play. 6
Billy Gilmour
A sloppy start from the youngster, who gave the ball away twice in early minutes which led to Leicester chances. Things didn't improve much. A couple of nice tackles. 4
Mason Mount
His one bit of really good play was the pass through to Pulisic for the chance in the first half. However, didn't really have the same impact as before. 5
Willian
Given the captain's armband but made no impression in the first half. Had no real chance to get the Blues moving forward well, and struggled to link up with the front man.
Some dreadful passes in the second half, but then he got one moment bang on. An excellent ball in for Barkley to sweep into the back of the net. 6
Christian Pulisic
Again looked the sharpest for the Blues and had the best chance in the first half. Forced Schmeichel into a good save with a fierce shot.
Looked to be positive in the second half as well, trying to get at his man when on the ball. However, didn't have the chances. 7
Tammy Abraham
Had a real battle on his hands up against Caglar Soyuncu and lost a few aerial battles. Looked rusty and didn't have a chance at all in the first half.
Got to grips with the battle more in the second half and really put himself about. A couple of really nice touches to bring others in to play. However, little in the way of chances. 6
Substitutes
Cesar Azpilicueta (on for James 46')
Added to the intensity as well and really bombed forward to link up with play. Important for the opening goal and a crucial block as well. 7
Ross Barkley (on for Gilmour 46')
A massive impact as he linked well and then got the crucial opening goal with a neat finish. Should have scored another at least. 7
Ruben Loftus-Cheek (on for Pulisic 72')
Wasn't quite at the tempo of the game but used his physicality well. 5
Mateo Kovacic (on for Mount 46')
Brought a real intensity to the team when he came on and the tempo had a big boost. A big impact in the match. 7
Pedro (on for Willian 77')
No real impact in the game. 5
