Chelsea player ratings as Olivier Giroud scores all four in Sevilla thrashing

Olivier Giroud scored four goals as Chelsea secured top spot in Group E.

Chelsea veteran Giroud, 34, scored a perfect hat trick - left foot, right foot and header - before converting a late penalty.

It was a memorable victory for Chelsea who are now unbeaten in 15 games in all competitions, with Frank Lampard’s men are in red-hot form.

Giroud also looks irresistible as the France striker has now got 17 European goals for Chelsea - which is more than any of his teammates since he arrived in 2018.

The ex-Arsenal hitman continues to be linked with a January move away, with Antonio Conte keen to take him to Inter Milan.

But he's doing all he can to prove to Lampard he should be sticking around at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Player Ratings

Edouard Mendy 7

What a revelation he has been since arriving, has not let Chelsea down at all.

Cesar Azpilicueta 7

Behind James in the pecking order but such a steady, experienced back-up.

Andreas Christensen 7

Looked solid and composed in central defence. Another quality back-up option.

Antonio Rüdiger 7

Had an effort cleared off the line, but at least showing he may have a future yet.

Emerson 6

Rare chance at left back for the Brazilian. Might be in the shop window for January.

Mateo Kovacic 7

One of only two survivors from the weekend, provided an assist and was tenacious.

Jorginho 7

On his 100th start for Chelsea, the midfielder is an excellent squad member.

Callum Hudson-Odoi 7

This was a big audition for the Chelsea winger, didn’t see enough of the ball.

Kai Havertz 7

Assist for the Germany playmaker who is still looking to establish himself at Chelsea.

Christian Pulisic 6

Still trying to get into his rhythm, frustrating night and was hooked early.
